Raising money to help support Save the Children

Onroute Truckstops has been raising money to help support Save the Children this month. Activities have included taking part in the charity’s Christmas Jumper Day fund-raiser, selling cakes and other sweet treats, and selling raffle tickets for a prize draw to win hampers full of fabulous goodies.

Better with a sweater

“Who doesn’t love an opportunity to wear a Christmas jumper?” jokes Colin Humby, manager of Swindon Truckstop. “We are all wearing ours and donating to make the world ‘better with a sweater.’ We find the drivers are always very generous and supportive as well.”

There was a hamper to be won at each truckstop. Winners were drawn at random and four lucky people will be receiving their prize over the coming days.

Making a difference with Save the Children

We are all delighted to have been able to support this brilliant charity. So far a grand total of £751.95 has been raised for Save the Children across the four sites. Money is still coming in, so we will update the final total later this month.

We'd like to thank everyone who took part and donated, together we really can make a difference! The money raised will be used to help make sure children 'keep safe, healthy and learning' by providing affordable, nutritious food through food banks as well as therapy and education.
